Interesting - for the most part, I've always awaited (and been happy with) the Snowstorm beers. I don't think I've ever had this style before so I will be purchasing a 6-pack for sure.

Yea! Three new beers to try in the next few months from Schell's.
I wait excitedly for all three.

Sounds like a beer I'll want to try. 2009 Baltic Porter was the last one I enjoyed, after a long stretch of loving each years offering.

Just picked up my first 12-pack (didn't see any 6ers at my local liquor store) last night and I am quite impressed with this year's version - really hits on my love of Belgian-style beers. Good job folks at Schells!

I think their Facebook page said it was going to be on the shelf in New Ulm next week, but maybe not the Cities until later?

This might be my least favorite Snowstorm. Although I probably said the same thing about 2011, that beer eventually grew on me. I went through a 6-pack and it has not really changed my opinion of the beer. I will of course buy more and see if it changes me in its favor.

So far with the 3 new beers, Schell's is 0-2.

Snowstorm isnt my fav. style this year either. Oh well. I would agree the Citra Pils was a bit dissapointing. Its tough for me to see wet hops used in anything but a IPA or APA though. They are showcased so well with that style

I was disappointed that I didn't get to try out their 2011 Snowstorm. I haven't had the best experience with the Biere de Garde category but I'm willing to give this years Snowstorm a try.

Notice that the SnowStorm is a little tart. What would cause that in this beer? It's not Brett, it's not Lacto.

Right now I am slightly unsure of what I think of this beer. I just reviewed it as a 3.85. However, drink it cold and it is a mess, but warmed up is much, much better. This site says that 45-50 is optimal for the style, but I liked this one at more like 55+. Maybe because it is a little higher in than a standard Biere de Garde at 7.5%?
