I'm late to the party. Did this ever hit Iowa?

It's in DSM. I just picked some up today at lunch at Urbandale HyVee.

Nice! The guy at Oakland Rd said they've never seen any Stag Series beers, so we may be out of luck in Eastern Iowa.

It's kinda mind blowing that this is the same category as plastic bottle Baltika. Same category, different planet.

Lager may be my least favorite style but finally gave this a try. Sweeter than I was expecting but I'll be damned if that masterfully orchestrated collision of flavors paired that mouth feel didnt produce one damn tasty, easy drinking, and well rounded beer. Total Wine Roseville had about 2 cases left out of 30. selling for 9.99 a sixer, middle aisle on the floor, straight down from entrance

Casanova in Hudson opened early so I could swing by and pick up a sixer and the new noble star. Thank you Anthony at Casanova! They had two sixers left.

It is pretty bountiful here. France 44 has it or if you need a mule, let me know.

This seems to be getting better with age. I'm getting lots more dark fruit and chocolate and not as sweet. Very delicious. Still seeing it around the north and east metro as well.

One small update: Stag Series #10 is also "cave aged, barrel aged." Rumor is probable release late this fall. I don't know what style the beer will be, but it is currently aging in the same barrels as #9 from what I understands. Anyone else have more info?

I can't wait for #10 if it's similar to Stag #9. I'm down to my last 6 pack after stocking up on it and have been drinking it every few weeks and it still is great. I'll try to keep a few #9 bottles to see how they taste over the next year.

Speculation is all well and good!

On the other hand, let's not count our BA peach pumpkin peanut and pistachio pilsners until they're hatched! :grinning:

I'll take a cave aged, barrel aged barleywine. Their last one was killer! (No, I can't have too many locally produced barleywines, thank you for asking)
