Schlitz Confusion

I thought I would submit a link to an article on brewing in the US and Canada in the 1960s (article published in 1964) which made for an interesting read I thought, and could be of interest in the context of this thread perhaps.

 

Wow, in high school in the 80s Shlitz had a reputation as basically the worst beer you could buy. Given
that we were drinking things like keystone and busch at the time i've always looked back on that as just an amusingly arbitrary line in the sand.

But that wikipedia article does a lot to explain where the bad rep apparently came from.
