I don't know if that's a general thing, but it certainly is the trajectory I took

I love saisons and agree with many of the suggestions already given.

For me though, the best saison out there, if you're lucky enough to track one down, is the sublime "Love Buzz" from the majestic Anchorage Brewery...

Saisons in cans here in So Cal? Anyone? I'm going camping for a week and try to leave glass at home.

Do you get 21st Amendment stuff down there? If so, their Sneak Attack Saison is a possibility. It was a bit too cardamony for me though...

I haven't seen any 21st Amendment here. I just discovered that St. Feuillien Saison is sold in cans, small ones, I tried some tonight and it's too metallic for me to drink too much of. I'll bring the other 3 from the 4 pk with me but won't be buying more.

    In no specific order:

    La Moneuse
    Prairie Hop
    Sorachi Ace
    Saison Dupont
    Tank 7
    Interlude
    Jack D' Or

All the Dupont beers use their house yeast, and can really be considered Saisons. Even tough Moinette Blonde is listed on BA as a Belgian strong pale ale, it fits the saison style 100%. Try it if you see it, it is amazing.

Also, Orval is a Belgian pale of course, but brewed with brettanomyces and therefore very funky. It has a lot of characteristics that are close to the saison style. If you haven't had an Orval before, do yourself a favor...

One that I didn't notice being mentioned was Victory's Helios. It might not be quite on the level with a few of the others mentioned here, but it's a damn solid example of the style. I'm guessing you should be able to find it in your area.

I'm still crossing my fingers that Victory, DFH, and Stone will get together to do Saison Du BUFF again. I loved that one.

Do you get Santa Fe beers in socal? They had a summer seasonal this year called Saison 88 that's pretty good.

+1 on Colette. It's not as dry as some others, which I gather many would consider a flaw. But I like it.

Fantome pre smoke (and hopefully one day post....) Hill farmstead and grassroots. The new Arctic Saison collaboration with Anchorage is phenomenal.

On the affordable side Boulevard Tank 7 and Tallgrass Wild Plum are some of my favorites.
