Where are they selling out? I have seen cases sitting in stores.

They'll be sitting even longer once people hear they are not very good. I had high hopes. I want every brewery to flourish and put out good stuff here in the state.

Hope my sixer was junk and I had bad luck grabbing both kinds that were bad.

Dark, sweet malty homebrew with bitterness to atleast let ya know it was an IPA.

Do they distribute to any of the surrounding states or just in Georgia?

I thought the last Hooligan batch was good.
They dumped a whole batch of Basement because of diacetyl, so they are trying to improve quality. When the beers are on point they are very good. I think they will get there.

Pretty much only Atlanta right now. They're still having a lot of new to the block issues as well as supply issues.

Does Scofflaw sell packaged goods at the brewery for offsite consumption? Do they have food at the brewery? Are kids allowed on the tours? I'm interested in heading down there today, and I'm trying to figure out if I can pull it off as a family event with the kids and wife. Thanks!

I'm sure they have some of their staples if IPAs or maybe growler to go for tour.

Food I've heard they have food trucks once in a while, but wouldn't begin to know if it's everyday.

And kids, im pretty sure are fine. The owners have a young family and I've seen pics of them all around the brewery.

I ended up going there today. It is VERY kid friendly. They actually have a kids coloring book and toy section right next to the tanks. No food available, but there is an incredible Mexican place called Nuevo Laredo right down the street. Great experience, and lots of beer to be had with the 6 tickets you are given for buying the "tour". Each ticket gets you a 6 oz pour. Definitely worth spending an afternoon there.

This is standard practice at all GA breweries, as it's the law's limit (for now).

Anyone had BA Vanilla Absentium? Seems to be all over trade forums, but never heard anything announced through their website or social media. So odd. Assume it was released but seems to be hush hush.

Grew up in "Atlanta" so hoping to try it!

Haven't had the recent BA Vanilla Absentium, but had a friend tell me it was a silent release on day he was there recently. Probably explains lack of info on website or social media.

I've had multiple sixers of Basement and Double Jeopardy as well as some Interrogation and no problem whatsoever with quality.

Visited Scofflaw today, enjoyed time there. Was a nice day weather-wise, lots of folks hanging outiside, with decent crowd inside too. They had a wood fired pizza tent available for food. Sampled 5 of the IPAs and the Interrogation stout. Would definitely go again. Saw sign posted that they are planning a can release in late March for a NE style IPA.

Tried just about everything from Scofflaw, and I'm on the side of draft over cans. Everything I've had from them in cans was way sweeter compared to the draft. Basement is awesome on tap, just a resinous 'dank' beer. That was the only one that was close for me to draft and it still was a bit sweeter.

Tried their Double Basement IPA on tap the other day and that also was on the sweeter side but I expect that from doubles; problem lies when you've got your flagship ipas (canned) tasting like someone accidentally knocked a 10 lb bag of sugar in the tank.

Does anyone know if there are any cans available in the Norcross area? Have family going down there and would love for them to bring some cans back. Thanks in Advance. Also which cans they should look for.

@Apom Norcross area can be hit or miss. If they can travel a little bit down 85S, they could try Green's on Buford Hwy. Also, a little north at 141/Mcginnis Ferry, they could try Max's Bottle Shop. I'd recommend calling each place first to see if anything in stock. Per tour at brewery, said their main goal is to get kegged beer out first, cans are secondary but do make it to retail. Basement and Double Jeopardy were the most recent cans distributed.

Basement, Double Jeopardy, Hooligan, and Interrogation are the only canned options in market, and they've been scarce lately.
