Hello guys, so I bought my first bottle of Sculpin ever and I was just wondering when the bottle date is if it says Enjoy By 8/25

Sculpin cans are not yet available. My bevmo still have to set up a new sku for the cans. Will definitely get a bunch if I like.

Their bottle dating information is contradicting. It says that the "best buy" date is 120 days from the time it is bottled. I bought a Dorado the other day that had a "best buy" date of February 2014.

Different varieties have different enjoy by dates. I think Sculpin is still 120 days, Dorado is 1 year. Some people really hate the practice of breweries tossing a 6 month or 1 year enjoy by date on their DIPAs, but I guess technically they are pretty well preserved beers - but a DIPA fan isn't going to get what they want out of these beers at that stage of the game!

I e-mailed Ballast Point with that very question. They told me the freshness date on the bottle of Sculpin and their other lower gravity brews is 5 months from the packaging (bottling) date.
