That's ok, it'll pair well with a chicken bake.

Your beer isn't out of date, it's just over a month old.

    Yes exactly.
Sculpin starts to fall off at 2 weeks.
Theres no way I'm paying $13.99 plus 9% sales tax for a mediocre IPA.

You live in PA and are complaining about 5-week old beer from CA? Dude, chill out.

That was MD prices, PA is even more. And the beer isn't traveling by rickshaw.
I don't think its too much to ask for the most expensive 6-pack IPA in my regular store to come with a date that doesn't require math calculations.. or to be fresh. You obviously haven't tried a fresh one next to an old one 'cause then you would see just how completely different the two are.

That's a lie. I have a BP rep at my shop about once a week checking date codes. BP does as much as they can to make sure their beer is fresh on shelves.

That's pretty slick, thanks. Saves me calculating time so I can hurry up and decide what I want to buy.

This is true. One of my favorite beers fresh, but I have been really disappointed many times in buying bottles or cans of it away from the brewery.

Thanks for the link, that may come in handy. My only problem now is getting a half decent phone signal when I'm in the back of the store.

Am I missing something or why does everyone prefer the can so much more then the bottle? I know in general cans keep better (light/seal) and all that stuff but is there any other specific/different about Sculpin in cans vs bottle or is it just that it stays even fresher thus better?

I am not trying to start a can vs bottle derail just wondering if anything is done different since this beer always seems to be singled out for can. Is it just that it's in both forms and people prefer the can for it?

The lack of porosity of the Aluminum alloy which constitutes the cans retains more "rare".

I prefer what tastes better and what tastes better is the canned version. All of the cans I've had have tasted like "Sculpin," at least for the most part. Whereas I've had 2-3 week old bottles that are unrecognizably bad, which seems to be a trend.
