Both kick ass. Grapefruit is something really special.

Neither are worth the price tag on a Sixer. I prefer the regular Sculpin however... and it's not even close.

Prefer Grapefruit, but I never buy in bottles. Both can be found at competitive draft prices though.

Glad I tried them both, will grab a pint of either if it's available at my local craft beer bar, but I probably won't buy another six of either

Just tried Grapefruit and would pick that up, if we could get it consistently in CO, way over standard Sculpin any day! Not to say I don't like Sculpin, just think Grapefruit is far and away a better brew.

I'm personally not a real fan of grapefruit, so I prefer the original. Yes, that are some notes if grapefruit in there, but it's not the dominant flavor. For the same reason, I wasn't a fan of Lagunitas' Hop Stoopid. It's like drinking a glass of grapefruit juice. Other people love it, possibly for the exact same reason.

If you prefer your IPA to not at all mask the booziness, I'm in agreement.

I found Dorado much more enjoyable back when it was at 9.2%ABV.

Last month I was excited to find a Sixer carrying 2 week old bottles, and what a booze forward disappointment....

Both are awesome, and if you can find them for $13 go for either.

Not a regular rotation for me but either Grapefruit or regular fresh is pretty damn good. Also just had the Habanero. Good but it lit me up. Thought my head was going to explode. Really enhanced the chips and salsa we were having! lol

I really like both, but usually don't feel like spending $15 on a 6-pack of either. However, if they're on tap some place I go, I'll probably have one or the other. I tend to feel like Grapefruit is a little more thirst-quenching thanks to the citrus, and regular lets the hops shine through a little more.

Love grapefruit anyway, and now that it is getting hotter enjoy the Grapefruit Sculpin even more. Just finished a keg of the regular Sculpin but I did not feel a need to mix it with my own grapefruit squeezin's, just fine the way it is.

Sculpin is great and I think the grapefruit is outstanding.

I don't really bat an eye at many 4-pks of other beers around here that are 10 bucks a 4-pk, which is obviously the equivalent of a $15 6-pk, so no real complaint on the price. I feel I'm getting quality for the price.

I'll add I enjoy Grapefruit more than regular when fresh but the Grapefruit drops off much more quickly than the regular.

I'll take Dorado over either of them, but definitely like the Grapefruit Sculpin more than the regular.

Not a ton a difference between the 2 imo. They are both outstanding beers in the "readily available wherever you go" department.
