I love the Grapefruit, but it is rationed here in CT. An allotment hit the stores here yesterday along with habanero and at my two go-to craft stores both where "ask for only" and 2-bottle limit. Everyone else in this thread seems to be able to buy it at will.

    Prefer regular to grapefruit.

As for the costs too much, both it and habanero are $2.99 a bottle (12oz) here in Los Angeles. No limits. If anyone needs any...

Regular for me, grapefruit was oddly almost touch too sweetish / unbalanced while still being good but neither were top for their style in my opinion.

A bunch of dorks in my city drove up the demand for Grapefruit Sculpin, now it sits on the shelf and get dusty.

This group of douches shall not be named

I think they are both above average and that's about it. Habanero sculpin... Now we're talking.

YES. Someone I agree with. I like regular Sculpin, but grapefruit.... just a tad bit much. To each his own.

Love them both, but the grapefruit is just on another level. Love that stuff.

I prefer the grapefruit. It does borderline on too much grapefruity-ness but I really enjoy those flavors. Both are slightly overpriced in my opinion, but worthy of a purchase every now and then..

I despise this thread. I guess I'm a purist. I think straight sculpin is a great beer. The grapefruit just tastes like an artificial layer of flavor. I wouldn't put the two in the same wheelhouse.

I love grapefruit. I love sculpin. I hate grapefruit sculpin. Tastes like perfume.

A breakthrough moment for me several years ago in my appreciation of Craft beers in general was a bomber of Sculpin with an around one week freshness date. THAT BEER WAS SO GOOD!

Having said that, the Grapefruit Sculpin cans that my favorite store regularly has... well... they make life meaningful. Bless them!

The only Sculpin I've purchased multiple times would be Habanero!

I have (we did a 50/50 grapefruit/habanero blend). Everyone who tried it agreed: the aroma was more grapefruit than habanero. The flavor, though, was all habanero.

Just bought some today because I have read great things about it. They also had the grapefruit but I opted for the original. I think it is a pretty good beer but really, I'd rather roll with my Lil Sumpin Ale as my go to. In terms of the beer's character, a fresh batch of Nugget Nectar beats it while offering the same traits but the last batch I tried was subpar at best.
