OK, I give up trying to use that disaster of a website to find events. Any events of note in central SD tonight or tomorrow? (Wednesday)

Will be in SD for a conference this weekend (11/9 & 11/10), anyone know of any evening events that I should try to hit?

I'm doing both laps of AleSmith's Speedway Grand Prix...on Thursday. I couldn't take Wednesday off, so I guess I miss out on the one-off bottle sales (unless I get lucky).

Anyone else going tomorrow? Even though I'm a BA n00b, it'd be nice to meet other BAs.

Don’t worry about tyrsis – he actually enjoys golf.

Used to be a scratch golfer. Not enough time for all the things . Given the choice, I'd rather ride than watch cycling. That being said, I love sitting down and watching a recap of the race at BLAH or T!T! with a cold one. Rather appropriate given how bikes and beer are quite intertwined.

Back on topic though. Today is the day! Today we'll find out more about one of San Diego's best.

Churchill's had Yeti night on Wednesday. The Choc Yeti aged in Oak Whiskey Barrels was fuckin amazing! I could drink it all day, everyday.

They also had: Choc Oak Aged, Espresso Oak Aged, Oatmeal Raisin, Belize Cocoa Aged Yeti and White Ash Oak Aged Yeti.

I should have posted this earlier in the week, but I would recommend avoiding Small Bar during Beer Week. I went with some friends on Tuesday to get the Avery Wild vs. Dark. I was particularly interested in getting some Momi Hiwa. When I arrived the board said each flight was $18, which seemed a little steep, but not so bad for four tasters. It turned out that there were only three beers in each flight and the Momi Hiwa was not one of them. When asked about this they blamed the brewery for not having enough to bring. They were also charging $9 for 5oz of Bad Apple, which is what I paid at Toronado the other day for FfaC. Small Bar is welcome to charge whatever it wants, but I find it very shady that they promoted the event as having four beers per flight and having Momi Hiwa, then never announcing the change on their website, sdbw.org, or anywhere else.

Small Bar's nickel-and-diming has me avoiding that place at all costs. Instead of short-pouring pints, they just fill 12 oz glasses and charge the same price.

Baba sucked, IMHO. Immelmann was decent. I had no time for anything else, as I had to be out of there by 5:15. In the past, they had done gradual ramp it up releases, but some of you pantywaists must have complained about it because this year they've waited until 5 for releasing *anything* in their events.

My next up to bat was the Santa's Helper. I figure I'lll find this at a PP at some point in time, so it wasn't on my "try first" list.
