I wish I could just rent a bed at Toronado for 2 weeks.

Yeah, but toro seemed to put their stuff up at the very last minute.

Brewers Guild Festival tomorrow at the Pier, who is going?

I have skipped the last couple but the new location looks cool.

I'm volunteering for this. Too bad we can't drink...

Haha, good to know. They seemed pretty adamant we didn't drink, so we'll see. Should be fun, the new location seems nice. Hoping it's not too hot since it's near the water.

they always act tough, I think they have some liability thing. I was worried about not being able to drink the first time I volunteered at an event, but it turned out fine. It is best to volunteer the first shift so you can roam around afterwards.

I was going to volunteer this year but they moved it. Last year I was able to bike to the event.

It's just one long ass shift this time. 11-7.

Let us know what booth you end up at so some folks here can swing by and say hello.

still should have no problem drinking (are you pouring?) especially from the breweries you are pouring for. Plus there are usually more than one pourer and the brew staff might help out so you can run off and get a few drinks.

Anyone headed to toronado for the IPA event? I have a 4p flight back to SF today but I figure I'd stop by for a bit to check it out. Long lines for this event? No clue if the events at Toronado SD end up like a zoo like the SF one.

I wouldn't expect it to be a zoo - it's an all-day thing, the Brewer's Guild fest is going on downtown, and they didn't announce any uber-rare beers being tapped. I'm sure it will be a great selection, but I'd be shocked if there's any huge midday crowd.

FYI they were ultra strict on volunteers this year at the SD Brewers Guild event. ABC reps on hand, watching people. It kinda sucked to work. I was pouring a Pumpkin Ale from Helm's Brewing in the VIP area, right next to Rum Barrel Aged Victory at Sea.

I wanted a taste so bad....

I got in my car turned it on, texted sage, he told me the situation, I turned my car off and went back inside. Might head over in a couple hours for the scraps.
