I am heading up to Davenport next week from Memphis, and I would like to experience some of the tasty local beers. I would also like to purchase a bottle or two of TG. It seems like I will need to venture over to Iowa City for TG. Does anyone have recommendations for their favorite bottle shops in SE Iowa?

Thank you in advance. If this is a repeat thread, I would appreciate the original. I couldn't find it.

Bootlegin' Barzini's is pretty good. In Coralville (suburb of Iowa City/Cedar Rapids).

Check out some of the breweries in those areas. Davenport has Great River which does some unique stuff, and Backpocket in Coralville is solid (as well as Big Grove just up in Solon).

Call the Devils glenn hyvee in Bettendorf, they might have some TG. In IC/Coralville: Jonhs Grocery, HyVee and bootlegging bazinis. Also check out Jhoncy Liquors in North Liberty.

You can follow all of them (except Bootleggin?) on Twitter. They are all pretty good about announcing when beers come in.

In Iowa City check out Johns Grocery, HyVee (Waterfront) and Winestyles for bottles. Also Johncys in North Liberty. Big Grove Brewery in Solon is really good and so is Kalona Brewing Company. Restaurants near Iowa City with good taps are Reds Alehouse (North Liberty) Sanctuary Pub and 30 Hop. 30 Hop is next door to Winestyles and Backpocket Brewery in Coralville. In the Quad Cities, the only stores are HyVee Wine and Spirits. The one on Devils Glenn Rd. in Bettendorf is good. If you go over to the Illinois side, try the John Deere Rd. and Rock Island ones. As far as breweries there is Bent River and Blue Cat in Illinois. Great River and Front Street in Davenport.

Front Street Brewery is a few blocks from Great River Brewing in Davenport, though their offerings aren't as good. Bent River has two locations - the original is in Moline IL and the other is in Rock Island IL. Blue Cat is also in RI and Rock Island Brewing Co (also called RIBCO is a bar, not a brewery) but has a solid beer list and is a neighbor to Blue Cat Brew Pub. Radicle Effects Brewerks is in Rock Island as well. Rock Island is just across the river from Davenport btw. I've visited the TG tap room in Decorah, but have never seen their brews in the Hy-Vees down this way (IL a little south of QC) but maybe you'll have better luck at HyVee in IA! If you get over on the IL side (not sure if you're driving from Memphis), Galesburg has Iron Spike Brewing and Peoria Brewing Company recently opened in Peoria - both towns are situated along I-74. Enjoy!

    thank you @HikerChick , @WKole81 , @bocky24 , @Iowan for your suggestions

I ended up going to Dirty John's in Iowa City, Front Street, Great River, Bent River and Against the Grain/Radicle Effects. It was an awesome time, and I got some great beers.
