I hope so. And maybe you have information I or the rest of us don't. And I feel like they should be the ones telling people what is going on. Writing back "huh?" like I wrote some kind of wild, untrue statement that I pulled out of left field doesn't answer any questions either.

The issue is that for years (before the craft boom in CT) let's say that 30% of package stores would be ordering NEBCO products. Now that the demand is up lets say 70% of stores are now requesting NEBCO products from the distributor. They have not increased production 2 fold so each store gets less. Also, they used to work with the distributor to help plan where the cases went. This is not allowed. If 250 stores are requesting from the distributor and there are 250 cases they all get a case. Stores with long standing relationships carrying NEBCO products can no longer order and get more.

They posted yesterday that production for Gandhi-Bot alone will double with the new brewhouse, which is being installed soon.

Matt has done a Reddit AMA and a podcast recently to talk about everything that's going on. They created a new Instagram account to keep everyone updated. Seems like they're actually doing a lot to keep everyone informed.

But, it seems they just can't win. If they send the product they can make out to distributors, people complain about the markups and price gouging, which they can't control.

If they do brewery only releases, people complain that they can't get there, or the lines are too long (irony).

You know what they could have done very easily: raise prices in order to create more revenue. Their prices are pretty much the lowest in the state, especially for a premier brewery. They hired more staff, bought a new brewhouse, revamped the tasting room which resulted in a much more efficient process, and did not raise prices at all. Maybe they should have as soon as the craft boom hit CT. They could have done all of the above more quickly. But then, of course, people would have complained about the price increase.

    And....what @threephase said.

They've said multiple times on facebook, twitter and reddit that elm city is coming back. And if you don't know by now that they're working increasing production, you haven't been paying attention. They've increased production on all their beers every year now.

They've talked a lot about this kind of stuff publicly lately. They talk about how they're brewing so much Sea Hag to fulfill demands of all their accounts. I don't remember the exact number, but it's something like 80% of what they brew. What more can they do? They aren't creating shortages on purpose. They even just said yesterday that when they get their new brewhouse, Gandhi batches will be doubled. Everyone just has to be patient.

Demand for HAG has been insane, never mind BOT.

Remember, Sea Hag pays the bills and allows for all the other treats NEBCo. makes possible.

    Cheers All

Hag is great but please support Elm City when it returns. I will hurt you nerds if that beer goes on hiatus again!

I'm gonna buy the shit out of Elm City when it returns. Honestly Hag + Elm City and life is good.
