I mounted my faucet tower to the top of my bar and I'm happy with the results, but I haven't figured out one thing. What's the best way to keep the lines cold and seal the opening at the top of the kegerator where the lines are running out? There is a 6" gap between the top of the kegerator and the bar top. Any ideas? The picture below is the bar and kegerator, though it's really hard to see the gap unless you are looking under the bar. Appreciate any help.

A PVC flange and short piece of PVC pipe is your best option. Along with a tower cooler.

what zero said. consider flexible conduit. rigid pipe is just that. don't skip the tower cooler either.

one other thing, your kegerator will be a lot happier if you leave some clearance for air flow. don't bury the compressor with other appliances or too much lumber. unless you have a kegerator specifically made for under counter installation, and it looks like you don't, the unit needs a supply of ambient air to the compressor to dump heat.

    Cheers.

There are lots, all similar. Or you could make your own.

You say PVC flange and pipe? Recommended configuration and sizes? Maybe any pic for example. I too am trying to figure an air tight solution as picture above. I to have about 6" from Keg to underside of bar top.

I believe the idea behind the pvc flange/pipe is that you're making an extension of your tower to your kegerator. So, if you have a 3" diameter tower, you should have a 3" diameter hole in your counter, followed by a 3" diameter piping of your choice (pvc mounted with a flange or otherwise), followed by a 3" diameter hole in your kegerator. Your lines run through all of that and then you install a small blower to draw the cold air all the way up to the top of the tower.

Don't forget a return, or you won't be drawing anything.

I am in the process of designing one now. Any leads on cheap fans? I may have an old laptop fan, if that pans out then I may be able to get something made for $10 or so. If not, I am only finding fans for 7-10 alone, plus other parts may bump that price closer to $20. Not a big deal, but looking to keep this as inexpensive as possible.

I got my computer fan at Radio Shack, it was in that range. You can get your project box at the same time.

You can pick up a case fan on ebay for a buck with free shipping, if you're not in a hurry. $3 or $4 if you need it now.

do yourself a favor and find the electronics nerd at Radio Shack that understands potentiometers aka "pots". with fan in hand they will be able to get you the correct pot to slow the fan speed correctly. I figured it out all by myself, but it did take a while.

the building part was very easy. good luck.

I took a fan out of an old computer I had laying around and wired it to an old cell phone charger i had laying around. The only thing I had to buy was a hose going from the fan box to the top of the tower.
