Sam Smith is my favorite brown ale and many mentioned are very good. So, if you like the stlye have fun trying all of them. I bought a Brekle's Brown brewed by Anchor Brewing recently and I can't wait to try it.

DFH Palo Santo and the IBA very good stuff. The IBA would be a good starter brown ale. Oh yeah the Brooklyn brown isn't so bad. Oh and Voodoo Brewery Wynona's Big Brown Ale

I like Moose Drool and Cigar City Maduro Brown, and Samuel Smith Nut Brown Ale is one of my all time favorite beers.. If you like brown ales branch out a little and try something like Uerige Alt or Sticke Alt.

CCB Maduro is amazing. Get it in the can if possible, as it taste much better than the bottled ones for some reason.

I love a good brown ale. If you go to the RR website, you'll see that they describe Supplication as a brown ale aged in used pinot noir barrels. It doesn't taste much like a brown ale (well maybe not at all), but it's an interesting tangent to go into from the brown ale world.

I love the Palo Santo Maron by Dogfish. Very heavy Brown Ale, tons of character and boldness to that beer.

Wychwood Hobgoblin and King Goblin. Two beers that really got me in the craft scene.

Happy to hear excitment for browns since they are not usually held in the same esteem as other dark ales.

Kona Brown (I am not at all a fan of coconut but this brown is so good)

    already mentioned...
Moose Drool (helped me make the jump years ago)
Bolita Brown (everything an impy brown should be)
Samuel Smith (if you can find fresh)
Madruo Brown (a little too much carbonation for me but great profile)
Woodmaster (another great imp brown but not available outside MI)

Like others have mentioned, Dogfish Head India Brown is really really good. One of the best brown ales you can find relatively easily.

If you are into trading, a growler of Golden Road's Get Up Offa That Brown might be up your alley. I really like that one.
