Search places by area code?

    I just noticed that you can no longer search by area code in the directory on the page https://www.beeradvocate.com/place/

    This is an incredibly useful search tool for searching a region here in California, and I'm sure other areas as well. It's the search parameter I have used for probably 90% of all directory searches I have conducted on BA for the last decade.

    For example, I just wanted to check the locations in the greater Sacramento area, the 916 area code. The option now is go city-by-city, and there's about a dozen of them. If I didn't know every city in this area code, I could miss out on something only a couple of miles away from me. A visitor to Sacramento might miss some amazing places to visit in Elk Grove or Rancho Cordova or West Sacramento because they don't know that these cities are a 5-10 minute drive from Sacramento.

    Is there a reason why this was removed?

    Searching by zip and area code were removed back in January due to a bug, which isn't worth fixing as these search parameters were slated to be removed in BA 4.0 and replaced with new methods of searching areas.
