What does Rotating availability mean - i.e. how is it different from seasonal release? Something like the Alaskan Pilot Series for example, will I be seeing these beers again?

Edit: Pilot series is a bad example, some are retired, others are seasonal.

think of seasonal like sam adams cold snap (spring) summer ale (summer) oktoberfest (fall) winter lager (winter). good seasonal line up. Now Widmer Bros' has a series called Rotater IPA, in which ever 3 months they come out with a new one. I know goose island also has a rotational called Ten Hills I believe. Basically they rotate out once a quarter (every 3 months) where as seasonals are "supposed" to be released within the proper season... hope this helps!

Seasonal = Always made in the same quarter ("season") of the year, although perhaps not every year.

Rotating = Made more than once, but not on any consistent schedule.

Retired = Hasn't been made in more than a year, with no indication that a subsequent batch is in the works.
