I have a buddy coming down from Seattle this weekend and I was going to have him grab some beers to bring down. What are the good local breweries that bottle? I told him to keep an eye out for Black Raven and Reuben's. Does Chuckaunut or Boundary bay bottle? Any help would be awesome. Cheers
Unless things have recently changed, Chuckanut does not bottle. However, Boundary Bay does, and their core beers are easy to find around the Seattle area. The seasonals are more difficult to find, and sometimes the brewpub is the only place you can locate them (in my experience).
Fremont, black raven, Reuben's, schooner exact's hopvine IPA, Elysian great pumpkin, sound humulo nimbus, old schoolhouse fresh hop IPA (Fremont cowiche canyon too), and anything emerald city.
John is correct on both counts. BB doesn't have any seasonals out right, next ones should be Cabin Fever and Old Bounder. Have grab you a couple growlers of Cnut brews if you're in a Lagerish mood though.
I don't get it. Anyway, here's the bluebird Fremont Brewing (@fremontbrewing) tweeted at 3:00pm - 28 Aug 13: “@anthonywilen: @fremontbrewing, when does the '13 Kentucky Dark Star come out?" Thx. Oct 1st (https://twitter.com/fremontbrewing/status/372841244449177601)
Thanks, Dan, for being Johnny-On-The-Spot. When there's a line at Fremont for KDS, I'm going to be the one who sets your sleeping bag on fire.
If he was going Michigan on me, setting my sleeping bag on fire would be because he wanted to get one person CLOSER in line lol instead of annoyed I'm hyping WA beer don't confuse KDS and KBS lol
Seeing how every single Fremont release gets talked about on here and every single one is the most low key "drive those great laker duders crazy" event ever, I don't think talking about KDS 2013 is going to cause a problem.
