Visiting Seattle this weekend and need a couple of options. Was planning on Fremont for a brewery. I'd like one other option that would be a nice beer bar with good west coast beers available. Thanks! (Staying in the Belltown area)
As long as you're in that neighborhood, the obvious answer is Brouwers. Great room, great selection, sometimes iffy service. You could also just walk into any bar you see, and you'll find beers you won't see outside the PNW. Enjoy your visit!
Since you're going to Fremont Brewing, you might as well go to Brouwer's and Sixgill. If you want to go on a different day, you could go to Noble Fir, Burgundian, Latona Pub, Mutiny Hall, Pine Box, Beveridge Place Pub, Collins Pub, etc., etc.
Saturday in Bremerton is the next beer festival put on by the Washington Beer Commission. You can take the scenic ferry ride over to Bremerton from downtown Seattle and the festival is walking distance from the terminal. There will be a lot of Washington beers to try if you're into festivals. Here's the link and the beer list has been posted. http://www.washingtonbeer.com/bremerton-summer-brewfest/
If you don't want to head over the Bremerton --- and it really is just a short ferry ride --- you could head to Ballard (a neighborhood in Seattle) for the Ballard Seafood Fest. It includes a beer fest as well: http://www.seafoodfest.org/sponsors/ballard-beerfest. There will definitely be beers you can only get here in Seattle.
