    Hello,
I am in town from Texas until Friday. Was hoping to pick up a couple of beers to take home. Any local recommendations?
    Thanks

I know you're looking for a bottle shop, but Brouwers is the most awesome beer bar! Don't miss it!

I used to live in Seattle a decade ago and have visited often since. I was just there in April. The beer scene has exploded. So many places and so many local/regional beers to try.

Bottleworks is a must visit. (It was a small place 10 years ago and today it feels even smaller.)
Beer Junction is another beer shop to hit. It's spacious. Great inventory and great in-house tap lineup.

Brouwer's Cafe is also a must visit. Easily one of the best beer bars in the world.
Burgundian is the newest place from the Bottleworks/Brouwer's team. It's a great place for brunch.
Duck Island Saloon used to be a total freakin' dive. It's less "dive-y" these days and the tap list is always solid.

The best brewpub is Fremont Brewing Company. Awesome well made beers.
Hit up the Elysian brewpub on Pike St. It's been a longtime stalwart of the Seattle beer scene.

There are SO MANY great beer spots in Seattle. You can't make a bad decision. Enjoy Seattle. This is the perfect time of year to visit.

    john
