I had been thinking about this for a while and just saw the portland thread. I'm open to anyone coming from anywhere as well. I also have accommodations for a few people if they need somewhere to sleep. Just like the Portland thread, looking for big bottles that you wouldn't get to try just like the 2 listed below. Looking for 6-10 people total. We have a tentative 3rd but will confirm when/if they decide to join for sure. Would like to round this out with a couple stouts and a couple sours. Message me if interested, I think we are shooting for next Oct-Jan, don't want to do it when its too hot out, so we still have some time as well. A Deal with the Devil B3 Zenne y Frontera
If this wasn't very clear we have two people in so far with A Deal with the Devil B3 Zenne y Frontera Looking for other people that want to join with bottles below or similar. KBBS Mornin Delight Growler of Good Morning VBDL Scribe Orviamo A&T BVDL Westly Crianza ABVMZ PVW Black magick Armand Seasons DBH VSB Derivation any batch Aanabis Ann Flora cuvee Art Pappy MC CBS CCK Izzy Blauw Millennium geuze M VB Assassin SHBRL
Any interest in coming to the PDX share? If your wasnt so far in the future i would definitely come up!
Hey man i might be in for a Rodenbach Alxander if my friend can locate one for me or ill probably save up and bring it cause i just want one. Talked to Mark and he'll dust off something crazy
Is a deal with the devil really that rare? Seems like it pales in comparison to the rest. I have a Westly but I'm not interested in either of the bottles that are already going to be there so I think I'll pass.
B3 is, in trades it has gone 1:1 with Derivation and M, there were only 147 sold to the public out of a total 200 bottles produced.
the last thing we need is some internet dweeb adding PNW beers to some non-comprehensive list of "whales".
Ah that makes sense. Thanks for clarification. Is it... Any different than the other batches? Aside from being limited?
So the story as I know it is that there have been 3 batches, batch 1 was draft only, and 2 batches that have been bottled, which people refer to as B1 and B2. They were both aged in Cognac barrels and most people agree batch 1 was much better than batch 2. Gabe, the head brewer took the last of batch one and aged it in a single rye whiskey cask for 3 years. That is what was released this year.
Yeah, step up your game or I'm not showing up either! ......Just kidding, looking forward to seeing everyone there.
Since I have only done a normal share I think its basically the same. I don't want to drink an entire bottle of a big beer or rare beer by myself, i'd rather get to try it along with a bunch of other beers I otherwise wouldn't have a chance to.
wish more breweries in the area did large-format bottles. imagine cracking a 3L of BBADS? sign me up for the next beer share that has one of those being passed around.
On top of that Zenne why dont you add in a 3 Fonteinen Straffe Winter Just an extra to bring on my part
Just scored some Sixpoint The Crisp! I could bring some... ...Anyone want to pick me up from Portland?
As I was reading this, I really thought the last sentence was about to say "I don't want to drink an entire bottle of a big beer or rare beer by myself, I'd rather get to share with a bunch of other people". Yeah. I'm dumb.
Cleaned some comments up in this thread. How's about we act civil in this thread and treat everyone with respect! I surely don't want to send someone in a timeout. Thanks!
Batch 3 sat in the barrel for like... 2 or 3 years. It's basically batch 2 left sat in the barrel for another year or so.
I know this isn't from in the area, but I do have a 3L of Rodenbach from the late 80s or early 90s. I'm going to need help with that one.
Random thought here. Me and some buddies are here from portland and brought up some beers to share if anyone is interested in a bottle share tonight. We will be going to the other half tap takeover at the masonry if anyone want to share beers also. I have Bottles from this weeks degarde release as well if anyone is interested in swapping bottles. Looking for fremont spice wars, brew 1000, CCBBOMB and holy montain midnight still or vintage bcbs's. Always just up for swapping beers too
Well 2nd half of my bottles should be on its way. Im just trying to decide between Rodenbach Alexander or Vin De Cereale So Zenne and Rodenbach Alexander/Vin de Cereale
