pick up a Sebago Brewing Barleywine 2015 single barrel series Aged in Bourbon Barrels. it was packaged as two 12oz cans shrink wrapped one on top of the other... Is Sebago inferring that I should drink one now and cellar the other for later?

That's certainly what I would do. I'm of the notion that I don't cellar anything I haven't had before, to get an idea of how the tastes have transformed from the cellar storage.

Sebago Barleywine...now that is a beer that I really have a hard time cellaring. It is so damn good fresh, I have a difficult time forgetting about the beer long enough to age a bottle or can.

Ages great. Had a 2011 a bit ago and it was awesome. WAY under the radar beer. Rivals Sucaba for sure, I actually think it's better.
