I don't just use a new glass from the cabinet, I use a brand new glass right out of the box. Every glass I own is single-use only. As soon as I am done, it goes right in the trash. I don't even recycle it.

New brew, new glass. My kids have been trained on how to properly hand wash the beer glasses. If they tick me off, I drink more brews, so they have to wash more glasses.

Usually a quick rinse but it could depend on what I'm drinking. For example, if I was just drinking a Pale Ale from a shaker pint and then decided I want an imperial stout, I'd switch it up to a snifter.

If its a similar style beer, rinse, dry, and pour. If its the same beer, skip the rinse. If it's a wildly different style than the previous beer, I use a new appropriate styled glass.

But this can all change if I'm feeling really lazy or drinking outdoors. I won't pour my favorite quad or similar treat into a shaker pint or a pilsener (unless it happens to BE a pilsener) no matter what.

The new glass people are destroying the environment and wasting precious resources due to an obsessive compulsive disorder which should be resolved by visiting a good therapist.

The rinse and use the same glass people are doing the same thing on a less harmful scale and should read an Earth day flier.

The same glass, no rinse people are globally conscious, forward thinking people who don't need to visit a therapist and can continue to enjoy their beer without feeling guilty.

I like to break the glass after each new beer to keep the glass making companies in business.

Ok, I take it back. I'm about to crack open a Black Choc Stout, and there's no way I'ma pour that in the dirty Sumpin' Sumpin' glass. So yeah, I guess I get a new glass each time

Use the same glass and don't rinse! You won't taste the difference.

As far as soap goes, I've been using Stem Shine from Wine Enthusiast for a while now, and it rinses away great. Then I dry/polish with a Riedel microfiber cloth, perfect glass.

pretty much use snifter for all now; different style of brew; rinse the glass before next pour. if style is very very similar i don't wash.

I'm not gonna be left in the dust on rare things, so, I only drink out of a rinsed-and-air-dried-between-each-brew original KBS snifter or a FFF Teku, signed by BOTH Michael Jacksons.

I do the exact same thing and my wife complains to me "are you gonna get a mop to clean up the water?" I smile and say "yes dear." Yes, I know I`m whipped.

Different beer, different glass....unless it's my snifter which I'll wash with soap and water between beers because I only have one.

I usually fill the empty glass about half way with cool water, drink it down, and decide if I want to use the same glass for the next beer, or if I want to use another glass that is more appropriate for the style. Sometimes I clean (hand wash) the glass(es) I use the same night...sometimes they sit on the counter for a day or two. Pretty simple.
