Normally I will review 2 beers a night at the most. If I am reviewing I use a new glass for each one.

Only when I'm going from an extremely dark beer to a very pale beer do I rinse out the glass before pouring the second beer. Otherwise, I just shake out what little bit is left from the first beer and reuse the glass.

This depends on how lazy I'm feeling that day, and if I'm trying something that I will likely never try again or won't be able to have again for a long time.. If I'm gonna try something that was hard for me to obtain, then I will always use a new clean glass.

Remember kids: always rinse your glass out first, even if it's a new one you just grabbed out of the cabinet.

Unless I'm drinking the same beer, I just grab a new glass.

If the first one isn't noticeably darker than the second, I'll just pour over. If it is then I rinse with water and fill. I just don't drink too many beers that are delicate enough to be ruined by a few drops of different beer or water.

Great answer. I use an autoclave at work, surprised I didn't think of that method!

If it is the same beer, I do nothing. If it is a different beer, I usually grab a new glass. Washing two glasses is not much more work than washing one.

Depends on if I am switching styles or not. If I am switching styles, I switch to appropriate glassware for the style.

If I am drinking the same style, but a different beer, I use the same glass and rinse it out with hot water, then room temp water, then cold water and shake the drops out. Weird process, I know, but it's how I like to do it.

I use 3 types; a pint shaker glass, a Darkness Goblet and a stein. The goblet is my catch all and if I change style or brand, I'll rinse and re-use. Style change, I'll grab another goblet or a shaker. The stein I most often use for bombers of IPA's.

I just drank a Cantillon Kriek from a Duvel Tulip that previously held a homebrewed ESB and I didn't even rinse the glass. It had greasy fingerprints and lip marks all over it. The Cantillon Kriek still tasted great. Now I'm switching back to homebrew without a rinse.

I lean towards certain styles (of beers) with particular glasses and most times I am changing styles and go for a new (different style) glass to match the style beer.

As seems to be the common trend here, I rinse well (several passes), drain the water, and re-pour. No soap, no towel. If it's a completely different beer style, maybe I'll use a different type of glass, and I'll switch if I let the lacing sit on the sides of the glass for a while (and I think it needs a good wash), but normally, same glass.
