I will be heading up to Vermont next weekend and noticed that there will be a can release on Saturday. I searched the forums and what I found makes it sound like this is a single line cash only type sale. Has anyone been to one of the releases before? They open at 11. If I want to be in and out quick as they open, what time do I need to get there? Any info would be greatly appeeciated.
I haven't been to a Second Fiddle release, but last time they released Mastermind I was in and out in less than 5 minutes with a case when I stopped by in the late afternoon.
Two lines. One cash-only/can-only line that moves relatively quick. If you're getting growler fills you won't be able to take advantage of the cash-only line. For last weekends Second Fiddle/Tejas Marrones release I was in line by 10:45 and back on the road around 11:30. You don't need to be there early but it does sell out in the few hours.
I showed up at 11 for the cash-only line, left at 11:30. A friend in the non-cash-only line got there a bit after 11:30, stood in line for an hour, and they ran out of cans just before he got to the front.
Thanks everyone. Sounds like if I get there by 10 I should be on the road by 11:30 @ the latest, which is perfect.
Since I'm a genius, and booked the one week they don't have a release. Any chance I can score their cans anywhere?
Your plan should be fine. 2 releases ago, cash only had no line by 11:20ish. But note for this release: One line. Cash only as per their Twitter. Next #SecondFiddle release is on Sat April 4th. All cases will be CASH ONLY out the brewery garage door #fernbeliever #VTbeer
