Second Fiddle

SF was released yesterday at the brewery and sold out in 3 hours or so with 4 cases pp limit! The next release is 12/10 also at the brewery. I'm not sure if or where it's sold locally. The best place for info would be their website. They're very quick and helpful to answer all e-mails as well

 

It's that good that no one wants to trade it Seriously though, this canning was the first of what will hopefully be many more over the next few months so it should start showing up soon.

 

My bro & sis in laws got me some from yesterday. It's the 1st time having it so good. I'm loving everything fiddlehead makes right now.

 

I got into town late due to hitting Hill Farmstead at 4:15, which worked out to be a great plan as the place was practically empty, so missed any cases but did have Second Fiddle on tap all over the place in Waterbury on Saturday night. I thought it was simply outstanding. Right up there with all the other VT offerings. I will be securing some as soon as one of the canning dates lines up for me.

 

How much is a case? Left a comment on their Facebook but never got a response.

Some good news is that Fiddlehead just received 100bbl fermenters. They will be stepping it up big time very soon.

Anyone know if they sold out yesterday? Got a buddy on the road to VT right now and would like to provide any information to him I can.

 

I called at 4:30 last night and they said that they may be in danger of running out by 5:30. When I got there they still had 6 or 7 cases left by the counter, but I'm not sure if that's all that was left. I would recommend arriving when they open if your friend wants to make sure he gets some.

 

I just called and they said they are opening with about 40 cases, if anybody cares to know.

 

It was sold out when I swung through today around 2:30 (12/11).

 

All of the stores are getting their deliveries today. I saw 3 or 4 stores post that they just got Second Fiddle within the last couple of hours.

Just noticed you and I joined BA on the same day. Kinda strange. Especially, since how few people are on the site living in Vermont.

 

Sounds like most of the stores only got about 2 cases. I got one of the last 2 four-packs at my local bevy around 4:30pm. He sold out soon after that. I think Matty O is still doing 15 bbl cannings. I don't think he's filled up his big/new fermenter yet. When that's operational, we'll see a lot more cases of Second Fiddle showing up - probably in another month or so.

 

I was at the brewery Sat. at 2pm getting a growler of the cherry-brett pale ale. There was a big brewtour bus there with a lot of sales being rung up - that was likely the last of it.

 

Anyone have a guess about how long cases will last at the release tomorrow? I'm driving from Pittsburgh to New Hampshire and might trek up to Burlington if they'll last into the late afternoon.
