This was my favorite BIF the past two years but I opted for the Ugly Sweater BIF this year since I hadn't seen anything about this one.

I think that it should be made VERY clear beforehand that any no shows are reported to the bad trader list, and this year, I'd say that anybody who is an unestablished trader should require a sponsor for their box, who is an experienced trader and member of BA. I'd also cut out anybody on the site less than 4 months, but that's just my opinion. I'd say anybody with less than 5 solid trades and a decent BIF box would require sponsorship.

That being said, I'd also be happy to sponsor a new trader from my neck of the woods who is in need. Will need full information, name, address, phone number, and I'd prefer a facebook friendship to avoid issues. Communication is key with a BIF this big, as this one especially has VERY high sign-up numbers.

I ran the Super Bowl Squares BIF/LIF last year with 100 BA's in it. I think we had 5 or so provisionals who needed sponsors and they all came through just fine. In the end, out of 97 boxes being shipped to the 3 winners, we only had 3 who ended up on the bad trader list, and all of them had been members for years and had multiple trades under their belts. Definitely screen all participants to the best of your ability, but sometimes a few bums getting in is unavoidable with a BIF this size. Good Luck!
