So for my family's secret santa, I decided to pick 3 beers, all in 330 ml bottles: - St Bernardus Abt 12 - Tripel Karmeliet - St Feuillien Saison What do you guys think?
Does the rest of your family like craft beer? Especially Belgian beers? You may want to just save them for yourself.
I’m with @SFACRKnight on this. If you know your Secret Santa target is into craft beer, it’s a very thoughtful gift. If they’re not, it’s a very misguided gift. FYI, the best Secret Santa gifts for people you don’t have a great idea for are: (1) Scratch Tickets (2) Wawa Giftcard (3) Dunkin Giftcard Not sure those things exist in Brazil, but maybe there is an equivalent.
Those are all solid beers that any self proclaimed enthusiast would enjoy. Nonbelievers should be given $10 Amazon gift certificates.
The one in Oxford Valley is absolutely huge, it's damn near as big as a small grocery store. They have a full time coffee attendant that does nothing but take care of the coffee. It's insane.
I'd be all over those, but they're all pretty yeast-forward. Some people like that and others aren't sure what to make of it. Especially if they're used to the fairly neutral yeasts in most American-style beers.
I loved Wawa. I practically grew up with it every other summer and I always thought it was the best. Then they swapped out Amoroso rolls and broke my heart. It's just not the same. QuikTrip is better. I'd even choose Sheetz, QuickCheck and Cumby's over Wawa at this point. Heresy, I know
Everything changed when they started opening stores down south smh. Sheetz is legit terrible, never been to QuikTrip though.
The south is already easy to rip on, let's not pile on now Yeah, Sheetz is pretty bad but they had a better variety of awfulness and it wasn't that much worse than Wawa food, IMO. Plus the one I went to had Coors Extra Gold. Wawa never has any beer when I go (maybe it depends on the location) QuikTrip is awesome because they all have beer (at least in AZ they did) and a good selection at that (Hop Stoopid bombers, Deschutes, Hess, etc.). Plus their breakfast pizza is ridiculously delicious and terrible for you. Let's face it though, if you're looking to get grub at any of these places our standards have already been marginalized.
Not a wawa fan unless I go for gas. The food is not good but yes, if they had rolls that were not bread like it would be more edible. I never had the coffee due to it being set out in open pots on burners. I see now its all in thermos type holders so I might try it. I much prefer to get up early and brew my own. Enjoy
in a half assed attempt to keep this coverarion on topic: comparing convenience stores is a lot like comparing AALs. yeah they kinda suck but sometimes you need ‘em.
