though I take it you mean sent you a bitter or a mild, which I love but concede much like German Kellerbier only really work on draught
on cask, even unpasteurised bottle conditioned losses a lot of the subtle flavours and nuances that make it amongst the best and worst beer in the world.

The UK secret Santa is on it's second run, very small scale

you need to have some clear set out guidelines
I've always pushed for 3 bottles of local microbrew
this gives a small selection this year I sent out hoppy pale, malty scotch ale and a big BA RIS
you get to try hopefully something new and unavailable to you and it doesn't mean its too expensive

even here it works out something like 25 Euros for three beers though.

Most important it needs to be ready to go in late October/Early November so you can buy the beers in October and post them out at the on payday in November making it even easier on the wallet, like instalments lol
