Has anyone attempted to clone Kuhnhenn's Fourth Dementia?

I just had this the other night and it was a fantastic beer. Definitely an inspiration and I'm interested in researching how this beer was brewed. I can see caramelized brown sugar being one ingredient. Really malty and notes of caramel, toffee, leather, dark fruits and a hint of spices.

    Possibles:
    - Caramelized brown sugar
    - Maris Otter
    - Special B
    - Munich
    - Crystal 45
    - Crystal 65
    - Chocolate Malt
    - Smoked Malt

    What are your thoughts?

    Cheers,
    BG

I don't think there is any sugar in the recipe for 4D, it is so luxuriously full bodied that it seems very much like an all-malt beer. I would also venture to guess that the crystal malts are lighter in color than Special B. I don't detect any smoked malts but they would definitely add a nice touch (like HOTD Adam's recipe). Good luck with your clone, 4th D is one of my favorites!

They often do long boils, so you might be getting the caramelization from that.

this is old and late to the game, but...
    marris otter
    barley
    special B
    c75
    maybe some munich.
there's a sugary body to it but zero head. no dark malts other than the darkish ones mentioned.
    very light hop profile.

I could be wrong but I think they have a clone kit at Brewing World. Sarcastro would know more about this then me.

I am not sure on that since I dont buy kits. They do have a lot of kits for Kuhnhenn beers, so it wouldnt surprise me.

Just reached out and confirmed they do not have a kit. He said it would be too complex to do a kit.
