Self-Imposed Beer Limitations?

Man, you have at most 3 beers a week? I don't think I'd post here if I had that set of limitations.

 

This is exactly my beer consumption model.

 

Im on a self-imposed break right now..i haven't had a beer in a week. I haven't gone more than a day since like October...so its deff a good break. However...there is a Jai Alai waiting for me when I get home! It never looked so good

 

That's known as a BA wet dream.

 

Some of these restrictions are awful! Doesn't sound like a very fun hobby for some of you. I just use my best judgment - if I'm at a work party I'll stop at 2, bachelor party anything goes, etc. I would never give myself a weekly limit..things ebb and flow too much..one week I may have 2, the next 10, etc..

 

if i go nuts i'll kill a 6-pack over friday an saturday nights. depends.

not drinking to excess doesn't mean i can't drink good beer :shrug:

 

drinking as much as you want whenever you want makes it "fun"?

i've got a regular full time job, wife and 2 young kids. can't really be drinking a lot.. especially not every night.

 

Waiting for someone to say they have three beers a month. Don't see how you could be a fan of said beverage, and partake maybe once a week. Wonder what the drinking habits of the guys who started this site? I see them regularly posting pictures, so I doubt its a beer a week.

 

I try to keep spending to $ 100/ week and consumption to 2 cases a week. Sometimes I exceed these

 

7 beer or less a week is my rule, occasionally broken but not often. Only 1 beer on weeknights.

Of course, these are often 22 or 25oz bottles of stuff from 7 - 12% ABV, so I'm really probably having 15-20 "standard drinks" a week :S

 

i'm not sure i follow the logic that says to be a beer fan you must drink as much as possible all the time. do you have a job? a family to take care of?

those might be the variables in our consumption difference

Funny you say that...People ask why I run 15-20 miles a week? And I say" So I can enjoy my beers".

 

I'm out of college, so its time to quit drinking to excess. I now enjoy one after work or with dinner as there are many health benefits to a beer a day.

 

Exactly! Contrary to what misterid said, if I'm running Saturday, then even more reason to hit the beers Friday

 

I try to keep it at or below one a day on non-drinking nights. A beer with lunch can be quite nice!

 

My basic easy plan is never drink more than 3 days in a row .... makes it tricky on long weekends but it works. Also, weekdays it's 2 beers or less. Anyone working in the industry knows you have to regulate at some point.
