    Some very meticulous people here.
I try not to be too hungover the morning after, and generally like to have at least two days a week where I don't drink at all. "Too hungover" may vary, depending on what I expect to do the next day.

I usually try to avoid drinking on an empty stomach. That's about my only rule though.

I give up beer every third day. But only cuz I work a 24 hour shift every third day.
My two days off I typically drink 4 to 8 beers one day and 3 the night before work.
    Typically ...

I presume this is a serious thread, so I will answer it seriously. I think there is a difference between purchase and consumption.

I try not to spend more than $50 per month on beer, but I have been known to spend closer to $100 when my enthusiasm is high. Last month, I spent more than double that (about $250), something I have never done in 15 years of drinking beer. I don't necessarily regret my purchases, which included KBS, Black Note, BA Biscotti Break and BA Even More Jesus, as well as a find of some Thomas Hardy Ale. But I cannot say that I made the most responsible decisions, either--especially considering that I didn't put any money into savings last month and I have quite a few house issues right now.

As for consumption, I permit myself one 12 oz. bottle per day Sun-Friday and one bomber on Saturdays. I teetotaled for almost two years while I lost a considerable amount of weight, and then shifted to becoming an occasional drinker (say, 1-2 beers/week). Now, I've allowed myself to drink a bit more and this is the best I can do in terms of moderation. This is just me, but as long as diet/exercise are on point, I don't see why beer cannot have a place.

Sometimes I feel like I spend too much money on beer, then I realize I just need to make more money.

I drink like its my fuggin' JOB. As if it were my duty to enjoy what this planet put here.

I dont really drink to excess, its only 1 per night during the week. But when I'm in the beer shoppe, I act as if ev-er-y beer on the shelf is available for one day and one day only, and that I just happened to be there for it. I tell myself that they are never going to make this beer again....not next month, not next year....never ever again. I'm not even talking about rare stuff. I'm talking about everything I see.

So i need to get it right away, b/c despite the fact that the beer shoppe has been around for yeeaaaarrsss, there might not be any beer tomorrow.

Living with my gf who is also into beer makes it a lot easier to drink good beers regularly. I'd hate to be on the hook to drink an 11%+ Barrel aged beer on my own. We generally open something nice very night. Sometimes 2, depending on volume. We try to limit it to a bomber or two 12oz bottles a night.

Beer also among other things has caused my waistline to increase to 38", so now I have limited myself to beer consumption only on Wednesdays and weekends as Wed's are my group's beer tasting day of the week, and try to limit it to one/day on weekends, but that's hard when you've got Daytime and GoTo in your fridge

If I hear someone say bro and then follow that word with some assanine post like this one where it is required to be an almost functioning alcoholic to be considered remotely a "beer advocate," then I have no choice but to put you into the category of douchey fratboy idiot, and that's mostly because you said bro twice
