Yes we count a bomber as 1 beer.

I usually have one Heady Topper a night and maybe a glass of wine. On non-Heady nights, maybe split a Lawson's with Mrs. Ruler or something special like a Founders.
Honestly I try to drink one good beer a night.

The only limitation I have put on myself is in efforts of not getting a hang over - I've got a 2 year old son and absolutely hate missing out on time with him because I'm in the dumps due to drinking.

When I drink, math sucks in every way possible, so I've made it as simple as possible with a nerdy point system. A 12 oz beer at 7% is 7 points. A bomber at 7% is 14 points. On a weeknight, I will not exceed 20 points, and weekend nights I will not exceed 30 points. Works very well considering the goal of the system. I have realized that this also helps health wise in just limiting the amount of alcohol intake. Also note that the goal is NOT to reach the limit every night. I typically have 1 beer on a week night, and 2 or 3 per weekend night. But for those nights that aren't typical, this system works very well for me.

    Cheers!

Limit myself to one beer a day max, except weekends. Sunday is usually my heaviest drinking day and I'll usually have two or three, so I usually top out at around 10 a week.

2-3 a week, tops. If we have a party and that'll double. Money is an issue, but mostly because alcoholism runs in the family and my wife and kids would get mad at me.
I never saw my dad drunk which meant that I rarely saw my dad.
For that reason I try not to hide when I drink.

I agonize over all of the exercise that I get, so I drink beer to keep my weight up.

I currently use the rule of 10. 10 beers a week maximum, never more than 3 a day. I have been on a kick since November whereby I can't have the same beer twice in a week have tried 111 different beers in that time. It's been great!

I typically only drink on the weekends. Even then it's usually only one or two on Friday or Saturday night. I do occasionally drink a beer with dinner during the week. This is all mostly to family stuff that we have going on. By the time the work and school day end it's time to get ready for my kids after school sports and dance activities. By the time those are done with it's getting pretty late. 4am wake up for work comes pretty quickly.

That is a punishing set of self-imposed limitations.

I thought the place where "everyday" beers were Heady and Double S, was known as nirvana.

OP - I make a point of not drinking on a couple of days each week, and then only have one beer most others. Once or twice a week I'll have a "few". I exercise a lot, so the caloric side of things don't really matter to me. I also don't get hangovers which is weird, but cool - but even more a reason to be careful.

As per my most recent post, I've recently discovered that having a beer a night doesn't affect me negatively at all. I usually have it with, or even before, dinner, so I know not to overeat AND THEN drink a beer. I do exercise plenty, but i still like to account for my beer calories.

As for hangovers, I can drink until drunk, and I won't get a hangover as long as I drink enough gatorade (or other electrolytes). Water on its own is insufficient.

I always just remind myself that I'm in college, and this is the time to drink as much as possible.

Cheers to that my man! I'm sure enjoying not waking up at 5am every day or having a ball and chain as long as I can!

I have decided not to spend any money on beer this year. Ludicrous, I know, but between my homebrew growlers stretched out among three full-sized refrigerators and well over 100 bottles (nearly all bombers) of beer I'm "aging", I just can't justify the continued expense.

I'll still hoist a pint or two when I go out, but I've been trying to limit that, too.

Also, I'm only having a beer if I earned back that many calories from working out that day.

So yeah, some beer limits this year! I hope by the end of the year to have my cellar whittled down to a manageable amount. AND my weight. AND I wonder how much extra money I'll have when I stop dropping over a hundred bucks a month on beer.

I'm finding that a: there are getting to be too many of them.
and b: +7% beers are a territory that needs a fairly rigid set of self imposed limits.

My wife makes my limitations (or so I let her think)
I keep it to 1-2 beers a night usually, i've been sick for the past week and haven't had a single beer. These are the times I start stocking up, my fridge is completely full and I can not wait to start drinking some of the brew I picked up in Portland recently. I dream about it at night, LITERALLY!

My wife wakes up in the middle of the night and says she watch's me simulate putting a beer to my mouth and saying "mmmm"
