Released yesterday (I couldn't get there until tonight). It's fucking delicious. 22oz bombers are being sold at the taproom for $12.50. Apparently, unless the demand there turns out to be low, they will not be distributing this elsewhere, as the quantity is somewhat low.
A bottle is in the on-deck circle as I type. After a bit of sustenance, I shall crack the wax, and report back later.
Well, @woemad and I are in agreement on this brew: https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/28798/254896/
@woemad , next time ya stop by, you might mention that they might want to check the capper on their bottling unit. The wax didn't seem that thick, but I had a hell of a time getting it off. There was a layer of wax completely around the inside of the crown. That's a sign the capper isn't closing securely. The wax completely covers the seal part on the inside circumference of the crown.
Yeah Yeah, the wax at the top of their bottles is excessive. I opened this beer the other day along with the Cuvee and @woemad is correct. It's wonderful.
I tried to find the clip from the movie "The Right Stuff", that just had that quote, but, I failed. Just watch the damn movie, you'll see the scene, and understand.
Got any Beeman's? (Yeah, I've seen that excellent film a few times.) Edited for Beer: I first saw that movie while I was studying physics and astronomy at New Mexico Tech in the mid-80s, which means I was probably drinking Coors Extra Gold (more flavor than the Banquet beer) or, if I had a little more money, Moosehead Lager or Labatt's Blue.
Didn't want to start a whole new thread for it, but god damn the Barrel Aged Guilt they released yesterday is amazing. Only 400-something bottles at the brewery.
That's in line with past similar releases, so I'm not surprised. I really hope they last long enough for me to grab one, which probably won't be possible until next weekend.
