Jack's Abby, i.e BA Framinghammer, Kiwi Rising, etc.

In the two years I've been going to Trillium, it's consistently been a pain in the ass to get growler fills of the hoppy stuff (especially when they only had Trillium, FPPA, Wakerobin, P&K, and dry stack, and Congress St. was a rarity). Also, it's still hassle free during off hours (weekday evenings mostly).

If he didn't believe in Capitalism he wouldn't own a brand and retail operation. Smoke and mirrors

Except ... it's illegal sell beer without a license.

Personally, I think the beer line animosity is over hyped. Tributary seemed to get a ton of attention this weeke for people lining up hours prior to opening, but if anyone from the seacoast area can remember, people were doing this for Tod's beers well before the craft beer boom. I look at it more as locals coming out to support and remember a local brewer. As far as Trillium is concerned, I don't venture down there as much, but I was there at 6:30 last night and was able to walk in and out in under 5 minutes. People like great, well crafted products. I lean toward appreciating their existence rather than complain about their popularity.

No one needs beer, period. While it emptying out a stores shelves may not be the nicest thing to do, if they have the money to do so, why not? It no longer bothers me personally.

Varying degrees. You can take issue with capitalism and still participate out of necessity. And in this case, it's not capitalism that's the issue. It's people using it as rationale to be selfish that's the problem. "It's my right to be a shitty human, so I'm actually not being a shitty human."

Stand in line for hours to try and buy beer? Not a chance. Stand in line for hours at the ACBF, to try many high quality brews? Absolutely.

Being popular is not selling out. That said, I will be sad when Trillium is hard to get.

I want to go on one of these beer bike rIdes. Probably a hell of a lot easier than the Harpoon ride I did once a few years back.

And I'm in the same boat as you. Same age, no kids (we do have a dog...) I have no desire to wait in long lines or buy a full case of beer, especially when I have such easily accessible good beer near my house.

Framingham. And yes, we should make this happen. I really have no excuse not to ride to Medusa in Hudson...

If I went on a brewery bike ride it would certainly bring new meaning to my choice of a 50 oz or 100 oz camelback...

I love reading about people waiting hours at Trillium for a beer like Upper Case that I bought 3 days later when it was empty and I was in and out in 5 minutes. I'm sure stupid people do that sort of thing across the country so doubt it's a NE thing.

Hmm, I'm also in Framingham and looking for a good excuse to dust off the ol' bike...

Chiming in to get on the beer bike ride hype train...In central MA always looking for a reason to ride (although I will likely be hilariously out of shape currently).
