sent via FEDEX, yet the DEA is involved

    sent a 12 box shipper to a buddy in CT, and just got word from him that the box is in possession by the DEA with a warrant to open. any idea why?

    Even if this is true, a federal agency has jurisdiction even other things handled by private companies....

    you do know that DEA means Drug Enforcement Agency? Not Double IPA Enforcement Agency. Tell them to call and see whats up.

    per the DEA agent, hes not in trouble, but they are meeting up at 1230 to open it up (in 15 minutes!) nothing aside from the great beers i sent.

    First, I still think he's fucking with you. Anyway, unless you have drugs in there you're probably fine. If it were an alcohol issue it'd be the ATF, not the DEA.

    i doubt it. we met while he was here during SDBW, and i introduced the idea of beer trading to him. shortly after he sent a box, so hes a legit guy.

    To the OP,I'd probably check with FedEx. Seems like they would provide insight pretty quickly.

    Wow. That's so scary. I'll cancel my order of a case cloudberry lambic from Cantillon shipped from Belgium since the DEA may confuse "cloudberry" with something that make you feel like floating on cloud.
