ive got a 12 hour layover at the beginning of september. id appreciate any tips for brewpubs, bars, and bottle shops. thanks!
Dude, if it's your first time in Korea forget about craft beer. Just get yourself down to a samgyeopsal joint and get rattled on soju, as repugnant as it is.
Samgyeopsal is delicious! I don't know if a 12 hour layover is going to buy you enough time to really get out into Seoul and experience any of the craft beers. However a good place to start for English speakers is Itaewon, there are a ton of brewpubs there, and most of them speak pretty good English. Just tell your cabbie "itaewon, juseyo.. Bali bali. . And hold on to your seat for dear life. p.s. there is a fantastic place called Cargo 121 in Itaewon that makes killer food and a thirst quenching Watetmelon Wheat. Oh and you can find places with live bands playing just about every night, Seoul is such an amazing happening place. I spent a year stationed there in the Army Cheers!
