I'd be interested to hear what you think of the styrian dana. I bought some a while back. IMO they were the nastiest smelling hops of all time; I just couldn't ever bring myself to try them. Cheers!

That's interesting. I've not smelled them yet as they are still in the packet and I haven't used them before, so I might have a change of mind come dry hop time:slight_smile:

Peat smoked porter is in primary. Going to keg next week. Might try to add a little spice to a sample of it to see what happens. Debating modifications to the mash tun.

Wet hopped pale ale happening today. Last year I harvested 10gallons worth of fresh hops, this year I was lucky to fill a gallon bucket. 1.050 mainly pils, touch of munich and oats, columbus to bitter and an ounce of galaxy going in at flameout with the fresh ones, and of course 1318 to ferment.

More ingredients arrived today and I couldn't resist doing another beer. Another simple one, mash on at the moment

    100% bohemian pils
    bittered with warrior
    flavour/aroma crystal

considering a bobek dryhop. or a late addition of bobek

    Belle saison yeast

might also hoy in a bit of freshly chopped ginger with a few minutes to go

I used my 10galcooler for my batch today. I haven't used it in a couple years since going keggle, and the inner liner warped on me. Wtf?

After brewing on Friday and Saturday, I took a break yesterday and brewed a Galaxy DIPA with local honey this morning...then I cleaned up a dirty keg that someone gave me a year ago, to get it ready for my 7th line/tap soon.

Did a simple practice kettle sour before making a Berliner and Brett batch. Not bad but the PH needs to be a little lower.

Brewed a partial mash APA using M44 for the first time. The OG was lower than expected. I think I should have watched the temp closer while it was mashing. It was just so hot on my balcony...

Brewing a couple batches this week for an upcoming tailgate in a few weeks. First up, will be an American Amber with Azacca and homegrown Cascade. Then I'll brew an Oatmeal Stout. Which may or may not get cocoa and coffee beans, (a breakfast stout kind of thing).

Brewed up my first saison, which I am drinking now, a month or so ago and I liked it so much I am brewing it again with different yeast and hops.

After just a week in primary(I know it's fast but I was out of homebrew)I kegged my Rainwater Rye Pale Ale and it's excellent. The second keg of it was dryhopped 10 days with Northern brewer and is also quite good, even though it's still flat and cloudy. I racked an oatmeal stout onto the yeast cake, I'll keg it tomorrow(2 weeks in primary). And I have a starter going for a big hefeweizen that I'll brew tomorrow. After barely brewing for the past 2.5 years I,d forgotten how much fun it is. At this rate I'll be back to 10 taps in no time.

Threw the "fermentation" hops into my primary for the Averagely Perfect NE IPA with the gravity at 1.021 (OG was low at 1.055 (should've been 1.062 - still dialing in I guess). I figure fermentation is about 60% done. Drank the sample - sweet orange, honey and a gentle tang.

Then the Tree House "Hoppy Things" batch is sitting on dry hops in a corny. I wanted to rack to a serving keg already but I'm waiting on a couple beer line out connectors so I can make a jumper and do a closed transfer. Ever since I came across this closed transfer business, I feel like any other method is uncivilized!
