I was surprised to not see Flower Power or Jai Alai on that list but it was pretty impressive.

I like the pick for New Mexico. Elevated would have been the obvious pick and well-justified, but I appreciate them giving the nod to another of our fine beers.

I gotta say, for Arizona, I can think of lots of better beers, from Dragoon or Mother Road in particular, that are better than that SanTan beer.

And for Colorado, gimme that Oak-Aged Yeti, that beer is incredible.

Much more solid than I would have expected. A few misses but generally some respectable choices

That's a great list. Tons of good brews and ones that are well respected and popular. Great to see one of these not touting yuengling or pbr for being "staples".

Can't really say I disagree with any of the choices for states I'm familiar with. Michigan can't really be anything but Two-Hearted. I didn't expect for Amazeballs for my state, but it is an incredible beer. I expected Flower Power, or Ommegang Abbey Ale possibly, but Amazeballs is a very smart choice.

Nice list, only one or two that seemed off at first glance. The states with more beer than rest will always have plenty of detractors due an embarrassment of riches...

    They got Connecticut right!

As a one time resident of both GA and TN, I approve their picks. Good list all around, too.

This list was very accurate. Boat Beer was a great choice for Jersey. I would have chose that or head high...I can't wait until everyone has ready access to both of them.

I also have to say I love the fact that they picked Prima Pils for PA. With so many solid choices in the state, this is an amazing session beer that gets overlooked since it's not an DIPA or BA Stout.

Surprised that it wasn't Jai Alai after reading the the thread. Then I checked the map. I am happy to see Tocobaga getting some good recognition. It is a truly excellent beer and definitely unique in its style.

Very impressive list. I can say for certainty that they got Kansas (Tallgrass Ethos IPA) and Missouri (Boulevard Tank 7) absolutely correct.

Edit: I also think they got Florida right by choosing Tocabaga (love that stuff) over Jai Alai. Jai Alai is a very good IPA in a veritable sea of IPAs. Tocabaga is near the top of it's respective style.

I'd probably switch out Michigan on personal preference, but Two Hearted is certainly worthy.

Others that stood out to me as excellent picks:
    Prima Pils for Pennsylvania
    Boat Beer for NJ

Very cool map. Some surprises on there, but all were good choices IMO.

Sorry...cannot go with that. To not pick one of Founders beers is a crime! And this list is VERY much slanted away from stouts. C'mon:wink:

Nice to see them go with Tocobaga for Florida instead of Jai Alai, because the list is already a little IPA-heavy. But great list nonetheless. They picked awesome beers for each state.

I can see why they picked Boundary Bay IPA for Washington, but I would have liked to see something like Fremont's Bourbon Abominable or Cowiche Canyon. It's hard not to be Seattle-centric when you live in this town, but I just think those beers, and probably a few others, are way better than the Boundary Bay choice. Then again, these are pretty limited and I think this list was going for more widely available beers.

Otherwise though, from what I know, some pretty good selections to represent the 50 states. Oregon should have been HotD Adam though.

Amen to that. I knew before clicking on the map that Missouri would be Tank 7 and Kansas would be either Ethos or Buffalo Sweat.

Nice to see a "beers we love from each state" list rather than a "best beer from each state" list.
