Serious Eats digs beer floats

Always wanted to drown some ice cream with stout.

 

I think this Peanut Butter stout would be perfect with some vanilla ice cream. I'd never tried Sweet Baby Jesus, but I'd imagine that it would be good with ice-cream as well.

 

We made Pliny floats with Three Twins ice cream at Toronado once.

I was at a beer thing in MI back in the mid/late 90s. Fred Eckhardt did beer and ice cream. It opened out eyes to that.

Pisgah Brewery Stout Float

I think the warlock was bad when I tried this because it was awful. I had 2 other warlocks which I liked. The Pisgah was good.
THe float is worth a try but not something to do regularly.
