^^^^For BASC it was done by 1am or so, the lines started very early. Lots of bottle floating outside too just cant wave them around in the cops face. Bigger share is in the morning, stuff I've never heard of before. Then some beers on tap, grab your bottles home and crash. Its going to be 20 tonight and JP is welcome to my share.

FH has 4 new beers on tap today: The Pilot Mountain Pale is a new recipe and has gone from a year round beer to a seasonal (with being bottled in 12oz), Feburary IPA, Foot Men Series Munich Dunkel, Barrel-Aged Stout, and Sexual Chocolate. Plus there's Jade in bombers (as well as draft) at the pub, plus some January IPA in bottles and draft. Another Foot Men Series beer that is also on tap is the Imperial Smoked Cherry Porter (YUM!!!). Plus everything else! 17-18 offerings today. No reason not to come down to the pub!

Foothill's blog says 7pm. I think I'll be showing up around 10 or 11 since I plan on camping afterwards.

Just had 12, 13 , & 14 at my local pub. 12 is other worldly right now. 13 is great and 14 is still a bit heavy on the bitter chocolate. This beer needs to be aged Imo.

Last year I went for lunch on Saturday and picked up several bottles. I'm doing the same thing this year.

Of course I'm out of town for the release. Maybe I'll be able to get some through distro. Fortunately this is widely available on draft.

Got there at 11:45 and they were sold out of bottles. Had a couple of drafts and lunch with the wife and kids.
On the way out saw a case by a table we were passing and asked the people if they were willing to
sell a couple to me - they said sure and made our day! Another huge thank you to those folks!!

That's awesome! I'm down from NY for this and I've found the people to be great and the event to be well run and organized - unlike the shitshow other releases turn into. I initially got my 6 bottles and when all wristbanded people bought theirs, got 3 more. I'm keeping 3 and the other 6 are going to people in my beer group and regular trading partners.

Interesting that they sold out this year. I went to the bottle share Friday night and saw lots of new faces and few of the old guard die hards. Says a lot of things about the world of craft beer these days. Mostly good, but somewhat concerning, too.

I stopped going to the regular mostly because of the weather, not because it's not a great event. It's between great beer festivals and a kind of bottle share season (holidays until mid March for me), plus finances seeming tighter. I'm not muling for anyone, so I will just drink on tap. Better believe I'll be at the barrel aged if at all possible.

Glad you were able to get some. I got there at 11 on the dot and had problem getting 6 bottles. I sat at the bar and had a couple glasses and saw at least 15 more cases get sold after me. Sounds like you just barely missed them selling out.

Seems I recall Foothills saying to expect some surprises. Did anyone see any surprises? Last year they had a vanilla cask version but no casks this year.

That bourbon barreled stout (Eclipse?) was really tasty. Foothills definitely knows how to barrel age some beers.

Does Sexual Chocolate see distribution (to SC/Charleston)?
