Greetings fellow beer advocaters, I have an unusual situation and I was hoping this site's members would be able to help. I have been selected to organize a conference in my field in late 2014. The city is decided - San Francisco - and I am one of three members on the hotel selection committee. I believe most of the presentations will be at Moscone, but we have smaller panels at the hotels, so we need a 4+ star location with meeting halls. How is this related to beer? I'd like to find a place that is near strong craft selections or even has a good bar in the hotel. High-end beer (especially Pliny) is desirable, good scotches and wines are always a plus. Most of this stuff is expensed anyway. Please post or send me tips with good recommendations based only on craft availability. A website is a plus, so we can vet the accommodations. We'll need 300+ rooms and a range of meeting/conference rooms. Thanks!
Thanks for the tip. I also received a couple of helpful private messages as well. I think I have enough to make a strong proposal to the committee. This site is the bomb!

I am in SF now and an attest that the beer selection at the Hyatt Regency Embarcadero and the St. Regis are crap. Go somewhere other than those two hotels.
Look at the Hilton, parc 55 and serrano - all close to eachother in union square and all have more than the usual bmc with a good mix of local craft.
