Shaker glasses or Compostable cups?

    I would go with the shaker pints. They feel better, are fairly indestructable and if you are renting them for 40-50 people you are looking at a load or two in the dishwasher. Some compostable materials have a slight aroma that can impact the smell and taste of the beer. As someone else noted, you also need to check and make sure that your local waste people will accept the compostable containers and actually compost them. Not all cities do composting yet so despite your best intentions the compostable glasses may end up in an incinerator or landfill.

    Is it not possible to tell these people that you will be providing compostable vessels but they are welcome to bring their own glasses ?

    buy a case of tasting glasses. cant be that much money.
