It was my 18th birthday and I was scuba diving with my mom's then boyfriend on Utila, a tiny island in Honduras. We stayed at the Mango Inn, a great spot if not a little noisy, due to the namesake fruit falling on the rooftops in short intervals. The bar/restaurant of the Inn was the best food we got the whole trip. Fish, Fish, and some freshly caught Fish. Oh and pizza, they had a brick oven. I was within their legal drinking age so I was ordering beer with my dinner every night. I already was homebrewing by this time, but this is one of my first memories of drinking beer like a man, with dinner, instead of that thing you drink when you beer pong. Super tired after days in the ocean. It felt good.

Great memories, but I forgot what I drank. Some local lager, but I enjoyed.

Sitting at a random bar on Coronado Island in San Diego drinking Lagunitas IPA. We were sitting outside and the sun was slowly setting. Brilliant conversation. Beautiful weather. I had better beers from Stone, Alesmith, and Ballast Point on the trip, but the moment was perfect.

Sitting in a hammock in Maui with a cigar and a growler of freight train IPA from Maui Brewing all to myself. Just a nice memory.

Picture this,... Went to see the parents with my kids in my old home, Southern California. Been there almost a week scored tons of good beer while I was there even brought a ton of Firestone back. Second to last day, drank a ballast point Dorado for the first time as I stood here... On Ventura beach

Drinking a beer flight that my Dad ordered for me on my 21st birthday, @ Karl Strauss restaurant in La Jolla.

It was awesome to share a beer with my Dad (and Mom) as an official adult. Also had a fantastic filet mignon....mmmm.

I was trying to remember the name of that joint I enjoyed many a night. Crowd right on the fringe. Cheap good beer and food. Games of change...what more could a man ask for. I miss the good old days. I hope this place is still like it was 15 years ago. It was five times better than the high end strip casino's and bar with all the weekend D-Bags looking for a piece of ass.

When my best friend had his first son last year, we went to the parking lot a few hours later and drank a Dynamo Hum (Jackie O's) in my car. He named his son Christian, so I picked up a 6-pack of Christian Moerlein (Cincinnati brewery) ale and we split those. Never did tell him that we only drank five of them... the last of the six is in my cellar, and as awful as it may be by then, it will be in the mail to him the week Christian turns 21.

I was walking to the main showroom for the Philly Auto Show and noticed they were selling beer and I asked if I was allowed to walk into the showroom with it and the bartender said yes you are. I ordered Yards Philly Pale Ale
