I am heading to Sheboygan this weekend. Any suggestions for breweries or bottle shops. I've searched around on here and have seen positive comments about 3 Sheeps and Superior Discount. Anything I am missing? Also thinking of taking in a Brewers game. I haven't been able to find a beer list for the stadium. Any help?
the line up from opening day at the stadium was. Pale Ales and IPAs: Karben4 Fantasy Factory, Third Space Upward Spiral, Pabst American Pale Ale, Milwaukee Brewing Pull Chain, Milwaukee Brewing MKE IPA, Raised Grain Paradocs Red, New Glarus Brewing Moon Man, Central Waters Rift and Lakefront IPA Easy drinking: City Lights Mexican Lager, Door County Big Sister, Miller Lite, Leinenkugel Northwoods Lager and Milwaukee Brewing Outboard Reds and Browns: Lakefront Riverwest Stein, Leinenkugel Barrelman and Wisconsin Brewing Badger Club Dark: Central Waters Mudpuppy Porter, Milwaukee Brewing Polish Moon, Wisconsin Brewing Chocolate Lab, Mobcraft (Expletive) Crazy and Good City Detail Not sure how much it changed since then.
In Sheboygan 3 Sheeps will have their new Juicy Pale Ale on tap (Nova). In you head to Milwaukee for a Brewers game be sure to check out Eagle Park for great NEIPAs, Discount Liquor for a great bottle shop and The Drunk Uncle (West Allis minutes from Miller Park) for the cheapest craft beers in town ($1 IPAs Saturdays, $2 craft beer Sundays).
Your initial thoughts are solid. Our son is the lead Brewer at 3 Sheeo's and without having a bias as a result they are putting out some great beers. Superior is good also. Discount Milwaukee has a huge selection and friendly staff. Do a search in Places for breweries etc. to visit in Milwaukee.
UPDATE: I was able to visit 3 Sheep's and get their just-released NE IPA. It was very good. Superior was a great bottle shop. I was able to get some Pseudo Sue. It was a month and half old but I still grabbed some. They have mixed six packs for $8.99 or $9.99, cant remember exact price. I was able to get several Wisconsin beers I had never had including a couple Central Waters and another 3 Sheeps. At the baseball game I was able to try MKE IPA. That was another decent IPA. And as a side note, I got a Zombie Dust on draft at a seafood place in Elkhart, IN on the way to Wisconsin. Pretty cool. Chubby Trout also had great food.
Most of the park is Miller products. Thus, the name, Miller Park. Or vice-versa, take your pick. The good stuff is at the Local_Brews bar. They call it a bar, but you can't sit there. It's basically regular counter service. In Kohler, just west of Sheboygan, Woodlake_Market has some of the best brats. Pack a cooler! Finally, Il_Ritrovo in Sheboygan has some of the BEST Italian food anywhere! I accidentally ordered the wrong dish once. When it came, I asked the waitress about it, since it didn't look like what I was expecting. When we figured out that I ordered the wrong thing, she offered to take it back and bring me what I thought I ordered. I declined, knowing that ANYTHING out of their kitchen would be awesome. And the kitchen knocked it out of the park, as always. FYI, they close from 2-5 on weekdays.
