Hey all! My brother lives in Lakewood, and is coming to visit me in MA for Xmas. I’d like him to bring some Saisons/Wild Ales that are only on the shelves in Colorado and surrounding areas. Any recommendations for things I can send him out to look for?

I think you can find Trve in some places across the country but they should have some wilds and I know they have a saison, Siren, out right now. I mostly stick to their clean beers but they’re one of the best breweries in Denver. Should be good stuff. He can buy directly from their taproom. Baere is across the street and they’re known for their house saison and they have a bunch of interesting other saisons on right now. They might only be in crowlers though, but they usually have some bottles of sours and special releases. Both breweries websites are usually up to date.

Actually looks like they have tons of interesting saisons and sours available at Baere right now. I might snag a couple bottles myself. Cheers!

Casey, crooked stave, black bottle, funkwerks, 3F all on shelves now.

    Maybe it's black project.

So, uh... The sour golden from Backacre Beermakers is pretty phenomenal. They're apparently from Vermont but recently started brewing in Denver and they only do this one beer. I'm not sure of the brewing style, but it sure tastes lambic with plenty of oak and funk to balance out with the tartness. Really could not recommend more highly.

Cellar West’s saison is conditioned with brett and I’ve never experienced a better, more well integrated use of it in any beer I’ve come across.

also don’t sleep on Funkwerks saison as well as their tropic king!
