Looking for cellar experts opinions on these I found on a shelf. Are they good to drink now, ok, past their prime or no good at all since they have been on a shelf this long?
    2012 Matilda
    2011 Pepe Nero
    2012 Pere Jacques

Should be fine. I've had aged Matilda and Goose Island regularly sells vintage Pere Jacques at the brewpub. I don't think I've had aged Pepe Nero but wouldn't expect it to be different from the others in this instance.

I can only speak for the Pere Jacques, but buy it! I bought a PJ a couple years ago and while I was drinking it I thought "why do I like this more than I remember?". Well, I had unknowingly bought a bottle that had been in the store for a year and half. My response: "So THAT's what happens when you age a beer!!!". It's probably the number one event that caused me to get into cellaring. My only hesitation might be the Pepe Nero as I'm guessing it's probably lost a lot of the pepper.

Thanks for the responses - I'll check tomorrow if they are still there.

If anyone else has experiences to share if they would be good/bad, please let me know.

There are old bottles of all of these and more GI offerings at my local store. They just sit and sit...

Sit on Matilda for a bit longer. I had a 2012 recently and it was in a weird in between stage.

The best and worst bottles of Pere Jacques I have ever had were around three years old, just gets iffy after 2 years for what it's worth. Matilda bottles should be nice and funky right about now. I don't know anything about aged Pepe Nero.

Had a 2011 Pepe Nero about a month ago and it was drinking great!

Weird this was posted when it was........I decided to go on a beer hunt in the ghetto today. Typically, this is the type of store that is wheeling out 15 cases of Modelo at a time on a Friday afternoon. Found almost the same thing. Two Pere Jacques 2012 and a Matilda 2012. Left one Jacques behind. Is it typical to find these sitting around, or did I find a couple jewels?

Found these today in the pick six section of a grocery store. Dusty bottles and all.

Read in Beer Talk that GI changed distributors so the old one is dumping everything they had. I managed to get a 2012 night stalker
