Opening in Beach Haven, NJ in the summer.

Anyone from the PA tried their beers? So far they've been pretty good. I love their stout.
They have one with honey and habanero, a little too hot for me. But their IPA is really solid too.

Why would Ship Bottom Brewery open in Beach Haven and not Ship Bottom?

Ship bottom is a cooler name?

It's in honor of the first homebrew he and his brother ever made, at a summer home in Ship Bottom, NJ in the 90's.
The owner had a nanobrewery at his garage in PA for a few years now and has self distributed to a few shops around his area. He's been working on trying to open a fully functional brewery/tasting room for a while now.

Thanks! It's definitely my new favorite growler. It's absolutely beautiful.

Well, Beach Haven is closer to Ship Bottom than their current brewery in Wallingford, Pennsylvania...
(and it's closer than, say, Boston, MA is to Breinigsville, PA and Cincinnati, OH :grinning:).
You're in luck, it's in stock and it can be yours for a mere $160 :grimacing:...
(oh, wait - add another 10 bucks for shipping).

Good Lord! I'd be afraid to but beer in that thing at that price.

    @jesskidden

True story, my girlfriend bought that for me at the Atlantic City Beer Fest. She might be a keeper? :grinning:
We didn't have to pay the shipping though.

Mine is signed underneath and has the number "6", so definitely a limited edition. It looks pretty god damn sweet though, and yes, it'll probably never have beer in it, but god damn it's amazing looking.

Drove by the new spot yesterday it's coming along. Right now looks like a big space but if their brewing equipment goes in that space it'll get small fast. Looking forward to drinking fresh beer all summer

Well, people have dropped $160 (and up) in AC and come home with less to show for it, I suppose...

:astonished: Wait - so they couldn't even give you a free complimentary fill for that price?

Finally a beer purchase that makes BBC's Samuel Adams Utopias at $150* look like a bargain. Nice bottle ---- with beer in it!
(* At least, that's what it was when I bought mine)

I know, it's crazy, but I'm VERY clumsy. I'd hate to break it getting it filled up somewhere.

Yeah (and why my purchase was "one & (eventually) done".) , but some still might feel it's the better deal - what with beer being inside, and all :grinning:

Location, location location.....and they are in a great one right in Bay Village. Tons of foot traffic through there every day.

Entrance will be just to the left (out of the picture) and the brewery will be on the second floor, including those two windows to the right. Looks like it will be a pretty decent-sized space, although not sure how all the brewing equipment will fit up on the second floor. Based on a rendering I saw, it also looked like they were trying to have an open area on the roof to hang out and drink.

Haven't heard (they keep saying early July but have given no date) but it seems like we should be about a week or two out from opening day. Tried a few at Hop Sauce Festival and thought they were great, especially the Barnacle Bottom Stout. The Shack IPA was good as well. Excited to be able to come off the beach and stop in for some beverages!
