There was no such bill, if "us" means the general public. The bill would only allow licensed retailers to ship beer to states where legal- and that passed in the senate. Bill Passes Senate Allowing USPS to Ship Beer, Wine, and Spirits
The USPS is more interested in shipping wine than beer. They intend to ship it nationwide at a flat rate that will be much lower thanUPS or FedEx. They could do the same for beer.
Like jesskidden says, licenses are required, the same as for UPS & FedEx. Say you're shipping beer at the PO and you'll get the same answer...no.can.do.
