Shipping Exception - Damaged in Transit

    Hahahaha...you know, I was actually very thankful that it happened at that time because the beers were replaceable, my partner was really understanding and sympathetic. I learned to pack very well very early on, which ended up saving my ass on a shipment containing a non-replaceable beer where an extra broke, but contained by Ziploc + trash bag.

    Ah, I see. But I've actually experienced better rates with UPS than FedEx. Marginally better but better all the same.

    I'm curious if price adjustments exist for different cities and states, corresponding to the cost of living. I'm in Philly and have tried to go back to UPS from time to time, but the differences were always significant, usually $10+ for a 15-20lbs box.

    Yeah, they probably differ depending on the state you live in and whether or not you live near a metropolis or hub or whatever. I used to have a regular trading partner in the PNW when I lived in Miami. I did two trades with him using FedEx and then two when I switched to UPS. The UPS shipments were at least $5 cheaper. But the weights of the boxes varied of course, so it's really tough to tell.
